Why layout matters
A register that works for a single neighbourhood branch falls apart when you add a second city. Our layouts separate branch identity (bank, address, box number, rental term) from contents description (categories, last verified date, notes) so additions do not require retyping earlier pages.
Standard sections in every register
Branch index (front matter)
Alphabetical list of every vault location with page references. Each entry shows the branch code as printed on your rental agreement, the box number, and the page where detailed contents begin.
Key custody table
Rows for each authorised holder: name, relationship, physical location of key envelope, and date custody last changed. Critical when siblings keep duplicates in different homes.
Contents log per box
Category-level descriptions only — “property deeds (3 folders)”, “gold items (described verbally, not weighed)”, “USB backups labelled 2019–2023”. Space for your own verification dates when you visit the vault.
Amendment insert
Numbered sheets that tuck behind the binding strip. Annual reconciliation visits add pages here without disturbing the original pagination.
Binding options
| Style | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hardbound cloth | Long-term estate files | Two copies standard; archival thread |
| Screw-post binder | Frequent amendments | Client replaces sections themselves |
| Ledger kit (blank) | Self-maintained records | Pre-printed columns only |
Sample page preview
Our registers use numbered footers, margin room for your handwritten notes, and gold-foil spine labels with family name and year — matching the editorial binding style you see across our client deliveries.
Companion reference sheets
For clients who want a digital index alongside the bound register, we publish a companion sheet set through the Microsoft Store. The paper register remains the authoritative record; the sheet set is optional reference material only.
